I am steaming!!! Went out in my car to hairdressers, then to my daughter-in-laws house and then to the village Co-op.

After l got home my Daughter asked me what l had done to my car!!! It has a long dent accross the bonnet, a deep groove and damage to the front, l dont even know how or when it happened!!!

It looks as if a lorry tailgate was opened onto my bonnet, my car will need a new bonnet and possibly a whole new front!!

I have had my car for 6 months and that was after waiting 4 months to get it because l wanted it in pink!! or rather "Hot Magenta", l have been so pleased with it and love my new pink car, now its broken. I know its only a car but l loved it!

I dont know what happened so l cant claim against anyone and will now lose my no claims bonus, plus Hubby went into orbit when l told him. Scared

Christine xx

Christine, it is worth asking in the shops if they have cctv or if anyone saw what happened? Someone must have seen what happened.

I am so sorry for you, it is a terrible thing to happen, especially to something you love and have waited for.

Hugs

Sorry to hear about this Christine - my car is an old banger but I would still be gutted. I agree with Debbie, try to find out if they haveCCTV where you were parked. It's awful not knowing what happened and not being able to explain to the insurance company.

Gosh that is terrible, Christine.

The CCTV is an excellent idea..but not what you need...

Love,

So sorry to hear this Christine - I`d be steaming too! Sadly this is not the first time I`ve heard of something like this - it happened to a friend of ours, and her car was new too.

I would try the cameras too, just in case. It`s so unfair.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts, unfortunately we live in a village out in the styx so no CCTV's around. I will ask in the local area in case someone saw something but l fear that it will remain a mystery. Sad

I think whats made me upset is that l waited ages for this car in the lovely deep pink and have been so happy with it and now its broken. Sad

Hubby can't believe that car colour is so important!! He even doesn't mind driving it! As he says "its only a car!"

Will see what needs doing on monday.

I think that`s a "man thing" Christine! Colours much more important to us discerning ladies!

Hope you get some good news at the garage on Monday.

Hello Christine

I know how you feel a tree jumped out at ours, skidded on leaves, stilll as long as you aren't physically hurt your lovely pink (hot magenta) car can be fixed

Take care

Hi Christine, really sorry to read about your car, I had something similar when someone left a mark from the front wing to the back wing, including both doors, on my car, in a car park, I was lucky that someone saw it happen and wrote down the number plate of the offending vehicle, and they came across in the pouring rain and told me, so I was able to get my repairs down on their insurance, I hope that something can be sorted out for you love Kimxx
